Office Manager/Animal Health Technician
Jennifer Lorimer
As a veterinary technician Jennifer’s regular duties include the following: animal restraint, venipuncture, monitoring in-hospital patients, assisting with surgeries including dentistry’s, operating the in-house blood machine, taking radiographs, vaccine reminders. At Dean Veterinary Hospital Jennifer’s duties go far beyond what a regular small animal veterinary technician would: greeting clients, discharging veterinary patients, advising clients how to deal with their pets until their visit with Dr. Dean, computer data entry, web design, accessing information for valued Dean Veterinary Hospital clients, assisting Dr. Dean with her equine patients. Jennifer graduated from Veterinary Technology in 1999 from Fairview College in Northern Alberta. Since then she has worked in several aspects of veterinary medicine. Everything from small animal private practice, emergency clinics, medical research, wildlife rescue, exotic animal medicine, and equine practice. She started working for Dr. Dean when she opened in 2004.
Jennifer shares her life with Fergie, an English Bull Dog, and Colby her beloved cat. In her spare time and often during her working day she is out riding her horse Eli.
